Something I realized today...

I was thinking just now as I was listening to some music and getting ready to possibly start some homework. This is always a dangerous thing for me to do because if you have talked to me for longer than 30 seconds, you know I have extreme ADD lol. Anyways, I just realized that I am amazingly and undeservingly blessed. I have been able to do some of the most amazing things that other kids my age could only dream of doing.

-I've performed at Carnegie Hall. I'm only 19 and I've played there! I was standing on that stage and all I could think of all of the famous people that have performed there. And I got to play there. um WOW
-I've been to one of the most beautiful countries in the world, the Dominican Republic. Not just once, but twice. Nothing compares to ministering to those people who have nothing and still want to give you everything they have
-I've jumped off waterfalls and lived to talked about it. And enjoyed it too :)
-I've stood at the base of pike's peak and just marveled at God's beauty.
-In a month I'm going to be playing for the president. CRAZY!
-I've seen some of my hero's perform and conduct. Two nights ago I played in a concert with Frank Ticheli! I saw Randy Brecker play at the Blue Note in NYC.
-I've been to so many amazing concerts I can't even count them anymore.
-I've marching the Tournament of Roses Parade on New Years day in '03. Seven miles and it was worth all seven of them.

Really, I could keep going but if that is not an example of God blessing an ordinary and undeserving person then I don't know what is! God is so good!

**On a very unrelated sidenote...
I haven't recently become addicted to Mash-ups. For all of my unmusical friends, a mash-up is where two songs are combined in a sort of mashed-up remix. It's totally rad. My current favorite is a mash-up one I found with "Bittersweet Symphony" by the Verve and "Dirt of Ya Shoulder" by Jay-Z. Now typically, I am not a fan of Jay-Z. I'm not fluent in rap and hip-hop culture. But that mash is RIDICULOUS. Go check it out.
***Another honorable mention is "Drop it like it's Hot" by Snoop Dogg mashed with Jimi Hendrix called "Drop it like it's Hendrix". All i can say is WOW. I know, I need to get a life lol
