As many of you might have read in my last post, today I'm going to have to put my dog Chloe to sleep. I'm really sad about this but really I have no reason to be sad. Chloe is a whooping THIRTEEN and a half years old. In dog years she is something like 94 years old. She has lived an awesome life for a dog and has successfully survived not one but TWO ACL replacements and fought off a staff infection through one of them. Chloe has been on of the best dogs that I could have ever had but now it our turn to return the love that she has given us but letting her die peacefully. She has trouble going in and outside now and her arthritis is making her life very painful and we don't want her to have to go through that anymore. So, my dad is taking her to the vet today at 1:30 and we are going to have to say goodbye.
Even though this is a really sad day for my family and me (we're really big dog people if you can't tell), we recently found this really great website called Low Country Lab Rescue and we're probably going to try and get a rescue dog. We're totally stoked to save a dog and get to give them a really good loving home. And we know that our other puppy, Callie, is going to be very lonely and we want her to have a new brother or sister soon.
The one I want right now is a 9 month old boy named Chase.
He was given to the rescue shelter because because he was a black puppy that came from a yellow lab and the breeder didn't want him or his brother Perry. If I could really pick, I would take both of them. Look how cute he is!
Hopefully this will work out for the better for my family!
